ETSU Traditions: An ETSU Legend

Dr. Bonnie Burchett enjoys an ETSU tradition one last time before retirement

Dr. Bonnie Burchett enjoys an ETSU tradition one last time before retirement

ETSU celebrated the 40th anniversary of the beloved Pancake Breakfast, a late-night meal served to all students on the last Monday of each semester. This classic ETSU tradition offers a space for students to unwind before their finals with a free breakfast in the D.P. Culp Student Center Dining Hall.

This year was extra special because it marks the retirement of Dr. Bonnie Burchett, former Director of Housing and Residence Life and founder of the Pancake Breakfast. Burchett is retiring from ETSU after 48 years of service.

She celebrated alongside students, President Brian Noland, and Vice President of Student Life and Enrollment Dr. Joe Sherlin one last time at the 40th anniversary Pancake Breakfast in May.
