Getting Started with RingCentral

Setup & Activation
If you have been issued a NEW phone number:
An activation email for your new RingCentral account will be sent to you by ITS. Please ensure you activate your account within 24 hours of receiving this email. Should you encounter any issues activating your account within this period, we encourage you to contact the ITS Help Desk at itshelp@etsu.eduto secure a new activation link.If you are using a phone number that was previously assigned to someone else:
Please send an email to itshelp@etsu.eduwith the phone extension you are using and request to update your phone information in the system. Once updated, you will receive an email from the Help Desk with further instructions for activating your account.Tentative Installation Schedule
Login: Following successful activation, utilize this link with your ETSU credentials to log into your RingCentral account.
Should you require access to your call logs or wish to enable email notifications for your voicemails, you may log into your Service Portal as needed.

FAQ
❔ Will cloud-based voicemails still be encrypted when the system transcribes them?
Answer: There is encryption on the cloud service and there’s encryption on our side. The voicemail-to-text feature is turned off for everyone who sees clients based on the HIPAA Compliance mandate.
