The Martin Center is committed to working with patrons on a case-by-case basis to accommodate individual and group needs and exceed expectations on every visit.

Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the Martin Center. Containers such as bottles, cans, coolers, and backpacks are not allowed for the safety and protection of our guests. Any patrons with specific dietary needs due to medical conditions or religious requirements should contact Guest Services to discuss available food options.
All programs, events, and performers are subject to change. Tickets are non-refundable except in cases of canceled events.
Events will not be canceled because of weather unless university facilities are closed. Check the Martin Center website, www.etsu.edu/alert, or listen to 89.5 WETS-FM radio for weather-related announcements.
Security & Prohibited Items
All patrons and bags are subject to a security check prior to entry. ETSU reserves the right to eject any patron for failing to adhere to venue policies, including unlawful or unruly behavior.
The following items are prohibited:
Outside food & beverage
Firearms or weapons of any kind
No pets or animals are allowed, with the exception of documented service animals.
All ETSU venues are tobacco-free facilities. No smoking or vaping is allowed in the facility or on premises.
Clear Bag Policy
- All bags larger than 6.5" x 4.5" must be clear
- All bags are subject to search and seizure
- Clear totes, plastic Ziplock bags, seat cushions less than 18" wide, clutch and small purses, and wallets are permitted
- Backpacks, drawstring bags, fanny packs, large purses, mesh bags, oversize totes, shopping bags, and patterned or tinted plastic bags are not allowed
ADA Accessibility & Accommodations
The Guest Services department at the Martin Center for the Arts strives to provide world-class service to all of our guests, including those with disabilities and special needs. The Martin Center recognizes the needs of those with disabilities and has met or exceeded the requirements of compliance with both the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Tennessee accessibility mandates. The Martin Center provides a full range of accommodations to ensure safety, comfort and enjoyment of our events and facilities:
ADA Accessible Parking
From State of Franklin Road, turn onto Harris Drive (next to the Bank of Tennessee). Nine ADA parking spaces are available in Lot 55, on the right just past the bank, near the northwest corner of the Martin Center. Signage will direct patrons to the main entrance at the front of the building. Additional ADA parking is available on each floor of the Millennium Center parking garage (accessible by elevator), as well as in the ETSU parking garage.
Assistive listening devices
Assistive Listening Systems (ALS) are available for use at no cost at all Martin Center sponsored performances in the Grand Hall. Headphones may be checked out at the Guest Services window in the lobby. A current driver's license or other formal ID is required as collateral.
Concessionaire locations throughout the building have been designed with all guests in mind. Accessible countertops and bar counters are at a height that is comfortable for everyone.
All public restrooms are accessible to patrons with disabilities.
The Martin Center provides wheelchair and companion seating with appropriate sight lines at all levels of the facility. Patrons purchasing accessible seating may purchase one (1) accessible seat and up to three (3) companion seats adjacent to the accessible seat. Depending upon availability, seats for additional guests will be located as close as possible to the accessible space. Patrons needing accessible seating can find those seats highlighted in the Martin Center’s online ticketing system. They can also contact the Martin Center Box Office at 423-439-2787 to purchase tickets, or with any concerns and questions.
Service animals are welcome inside the building, but must always remain on a leash or in a harness. If you intend to bring a service animal to the building, please notify your ticket representative at the time of purchase so that an aisle seat may be reserved for you.
Sign Language Interpreters
The Martin Center can provide sign language interpretation for guests with hearing disabilities. Requests for this service must be received 30 days prior to the event and be approved by the performer. For details, please call the Box Office at 423-439-2787 (ARTS).
The closest bus stop to the facility is between Carnegie Hotel and the front of the Martin Center on State of Franklin Road.
For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair at Guest Services. Our staff will make arrangements to return the wheelchair to you at the end of the event, or any other time you would prefer. Please contact Guest Services at 423-439-XXXX during normal business hours for information concerning wheelchair or walker storage, or electrical outlets for recharging. During event hours, please call 423-439-XXXX.
Additional Guest Services
The Martin Center offers other convenient services including wheelchair assistance, lost and found, and check-in for larger items such as strollers, walkers, and rolling chairs. These services can be utilized by contacting a Guest Services representative.

CateringSodexo Dining Services is the exclusive food and beverage provider for the Martin Center. Menu options are available through MartinBooking@etsu.edu. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options are also available.
