Overview
Our Master Teacher (MTEA) Concentration here at East Tennessee State University is a non-licensure Master's Degree in Early Childhood that is appropriate for teachers who already have licensure and are looking to get a master's degree and also for graduate students who are not teachers but who are interested in earning a master's degree that will enable them to work in other early childhood settings outside the public school.
The Department of Early Childhood Education believes that students and faculty are reflective partners actively engaged in a continual learning process to gain the knowledge, skills and dispositions to be teachers, researchers, professionals and leaders in early care and education.

This Online Degree Program requires completion of 36 semester credit hours, two courses per semester over two academic years, including two courses each summer.
