Encouraged/Optional Events & To-do
By February 21: Each year at graduation, a number of students receive recognition for a variety of achievements. One recognition is the Gary Mabrey Community Service Award. This award is presented to a graduating student who has demonstrated commitment and excellence in service to the community.
Please submit your nomination(s) by February 21 to mcallistercl@etsu.edu with the nominee’s name and a brief explanation of the nominee’s accomplishments in community service while a student at GCOP. Please include “GM Service Award” in the subject line. As you consider this award, please think of service that may be outside the scope of activities required for a class or organization. Self-nominations are allowed and encouraged!
March 18: Life After College - Student Loan Repayment workshop - Presented by Jonathan Looney from the Sallie Mae South Region Office. You may access the recording here. To find out your repayment plan options, visit Federal Student Aid Student Loan Repayment.
March 28: GCOP Awards Ceremony - Brinkley/Millennium Center Ballroom. Dinner at 6pm, Ceremony at 7pm
By April 1: You have the opportunity to submit your nominations for speakers at the annual “Prescriptions for Success” luncheon. You may nominate up to 5 College of Pharmacy individuals (faculty, staff, preceptors, community supporters) that you would like to recognize as being most influential in your education and experience at Gatton. The class’s top nominees will be recognized with an invitation to share parting words of wisdom with your class prior to your hooding ceremony rehearsal. The Dean's office will email you with more information.
By April 1: You may submit photos that you would like considered for a slideshow that we use for graduation festivities. We're looking for any photos from your Gatton experience, so these might be while in the college building, at a student event, or just hanging out. Submit photos here.
