Health and Liability Insurance
Health Insurance
Pharmacy students are required to maintain health insurance as a condition of enrollment and to ensure compliance with the Professional Experiential Program and associated practice sites. Students shall provide documentation of health insurance to the Office of Student Affairs on an annual basis or as requested. This is done by completing the Insurance Declaration Form by the specified deadline.
Professional Liability Insurance
All Doctor of Pharmacy students are required to carry individual professional liability insurance. Low cost coverage specifically designed for pharmacy students is made available through Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Company. The annual premium is included on the students fall semester fee bill.
The policy provides coverage for professional activities performed within the United States and its territories and possessions, Canada, and Puerto Rico whether the activities are performed as a student, employee or volunteer. Coverage limits are $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and $3,000,000. Policies are distributed to students annually.
