• • Temporary disability parking permits are issued by the Parking Office with approval from Disability Servies.
  • To request a temporary permit, submit the Request Temporary Disability Parking form with a doctor's statement of medical necessity to Disability Services.

  • State the nature of the medical need, i.e., sprained ankle, surgery, etc.
  • Give a specific amount of time temporary parking will be needed
  • Contact information for the medical professional making the request
• Eligible Time-frames

  • Temporary parking is granted on a short term basis typically for 6-8 weeks. Extensions may be approved if needed.  
  • Individuals who need temporary parking for a longer period of time should obtain a temporary parking permit from the state of Tennessee or from the state where their vehicle is licensed.
    • Apply for a disabled person license plate/placard/decal.
