Mountains to Monuments: Washington D.C. Experience
Fall Break 2026

Mountains to Monuments provides ETSU students with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel beyond the mountains of Northeast Tennessee and experience the history and heritage of our nation’s capital. During Fall Break 2026, students who have never visited Washington, D.C., will explore iconic landmarks, engage with the stories that shaped America, and gain a deeper understanding of our nation’s history as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Through immersive experiences, reflection, and connection, students will see firsthand the monuments, museums, and places that represent the ideals and ongoing story of the United States.

To keep costs low and make this experience accessible for more students, we are seeking financial contributions from supporters. On average, it costs approximately $500 to provide one student the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. and experience our nation’s history firsthand. Your support helps make Mountains to Monuments possible.
