2018-19 Budget Call PURPOSE

 

The Budget Call is intended to provide a strategic framework for the institution as we begin the FY 18-19 budget planning process. With the formation of the Board of Trustees and implementation of the 2016-26 Strategic Plan, it is imperativeat ETSU implement a consultative process for developing the 2018-19 academic year budget.

The purpose of this process is to:

  • Align budget and resources with the 2016-26 Strategic Plan, mission, vision, and goals
  • Promote fiscal responsibility and provide a multi-year budget plan that is regularly reviewed/updated
  • Engage and involve the entire ETSU community, thereby enhancing communication and shared governance
  • Promote collaboration among academic and administrative units
  • Assure transparency in decision making by providing a venue to evaluate and prioritize budget proposals from across the institution
  • Reflect the unique needs across the diverse units that comprise the institution
