Stay Connected 

Remind is a simple and easy to use text alert system. It's easy to sign up and we encourage all our students to use it. This will be an efficient and easy way for Upward Bound staff to communicate information such as school visit changes, Monday session changes, etc.

Academic Resources is available directly to students, as well as schools, libraries, businesses and community colleges to help K-12 and adult learners succeed. is tutoring the way it was meant to be. You get an expert tutor whenever you need help, and you work one-to-one with your tutor in our online classroom on your specific problem until it's done. Everything happens online. You never need to make an appointment or even leave the house! ETSU Upward Bound program is providing access to at NO COST to our students.

Study Sheets

Upward Bound students have access to study sheets on a wide range of topics including: foreign languages, math, science, language arts and HTML. Ask an Upward Bound staff member and we'll get you the study resources you need.

Upward Bound students can check out books from our program library. A wide range of books are available including popular fiction books, literature, self-help/life skills books, and academic books.

If you would like check out a book, please ask a staff member and we will deliver your book at your next school visit.

Library Books

Homework Hotline

All Tennessee students in grades K-12 have access to free homework help through a service called Homework Hotline. Teachers are available Monday through Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Eastern time. The hotline may be reached by calling 1-888-868-5777 or (615) 298-6636. Students may call as many times as they would like, and parents may call as well.

ACT Prep – All of our Upward Bound students have the opportunity to sign up for ePrep, an online ACT prep service. Once enrolled in ePrep, all of our students can take up to 3 practice tests, and once finished with each section or test, each question is answered and explained in a video. Once enrolled in ePrep, each student will have access to ePrep for 12 months. If you want to enroll in ePrep, please call or email Tiffany Brown (423-439-4474 or ).

ACT Waiver – All Upward Bound students are offered up to 2 ACT waivers in their junior and senior years. If you need a waiver, please ask a staff member at a school visit.
