Dr. Frederick Gordon earned his Ph.D in Political Science from the University of Southern California. He earned his Masters Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburg and B.A. in history from Clark University, in Worcester, Massachusetts. He is the author of Freshwater Resources andIntersate Cooperation Strategies to Mitigate an Environmental Risk (State Univeristy of New York Press, 2008), and Lead editor for International Environmental Justice Competing Claims and Perspectives (International Labamate Press, London, 2012). He is currently working on a book titled Damming of the Presidency, which addresses how critical environmental events impact a presidential campaign and is under contract with Rowman and Littlefield. Prior to coming to ETSU, Dr. Gordon served as Department Chair and MPA Director at Columbus State University. There he taught both MPA core and specialty classes as well served as department liaison to the local media. He has also led overseas classes to Oxford, England and Florence, Italy.
