Criteria
The committee shall consider the following criteria in awarding scholarships. Each applicant must:
- Be either an undergraduate or graduate public health student with an interest in environmental health sciences;
- Have a demonstrated financial need;
- Have a minimum 3.2 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or other significant accomplishment;
- Participate in at least one professional student organization.
Applicants
Applications should be submitted to the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Sciences Scholarship Committee by 15 February of each year.
Selection
Scholarships shall be awarded by the College of Public Health Student Scholarship Awards Committee. That committee shall decide the number of scholarships and the value of each, depending on the funds available. The scholarship may be renewed annually, if the student continues to meet criteria. The scholarship will go to the most deserving student each year, with previous winners being eligible for the award.
