What is my Goldlink PIN number? | Initially it is your 6 digit date of birth (mmddyy). After login in, you will be prompted to change your PIN to another 6 digit number. |
How do I change my Goldlink PIN after I am logged in? | Follow the steps outlined here. |
How do I reset my PIN if I am locked out? | Contact the registration help line at 423-439-5584 |
How do I obtain course permits? |
For ALHE permits, contact Kay Benincasa For permits for courses outside ALHE, contact the department offering the course. |
What does "section closed" mean? | The class has no seats available. Try another section or request a permit. |
How do I make an appointment to register? | No appointment is required. Registration times are based on earned credit hours. |

How do I drop a class? | Information on how to drop a course is available in the current university catalog in the Policies and Procedures section. |
How does a "W" affect my GPA? | A "W" does not affect your GPA. |
How do I request transcripts? | You can submit a hard copy request by completing the Transcript Request Form from the Forms section of the Registrar's office website OR, if you have been at ETSU since fall 1991, you can submit a request through Self-Serve Banner |
How do I change my name and what documents do I need? | The form and documentation needed for a name change is available in the Forms section of the Registrar's website. |
How do I change my major? | Contact Ms. Benincasa by email or phone at 423-547-4903 |
What paperwork do I need to complete in order to graduate? | You are required to complete the online Intent to Graduate no later than two semesters prior to graduating. The Major Program Sheet and other related paperwork are completed by Ms. Benincasa. |
What is the deadline for for submitting the Intent to Graduate and the major/minor sheets? | The dates are available on the Registrar's office webpage. |
My forms are complete and submitted; when can I expect to hear something from the Graduation office? | Priority goes to the students graduating in the current semester. The Graduation office will send notification as soon as possible to meet final semester graduation deadlines. |
How do I get my textbooks? | You can find your textbooks through the ETSU bookstore website and you may purchase or rent them. |
