Dr. Judith Slagle, Dean, Honors College
Since the inception of The Honors College in 2005, we have grown into one of the most refined academic organizations in the southeast. Today our scholarships support over 400 students in various programs and disciplines, and our focus on undergraduate research and creative activities offers students the opportunity to work with faculty mentors and to present their own research in academic venues.
We have increased our international student population by well over 100% in the past few years and welcomed students from dozens of countries. Our Study Abroad program boasts a multitude of opportunities for summer study in other countries; and we have coordinated transfer agreements for semester-long programs in Rome, Ireland, China and other countries.
As we continue to enrich our programs for University Honors, Midway Honors, Honors in Discipline, Fine & Performing Arts, Presidential Community Service, Undergraduate Research, and International Programs, we concentrate on faculty expertise and student success. As a potential or current student at ETSU, you have the opportunity to discover your true potential and to find your passion through The Honors College.
I invite you to look at the opportunities available through our college
for students all across the ETSU campus, including the
undergraduate research and international exchange
or study abroad programs that are open to all students!
