The Strong BRAIN (Building Resilience through ACEs-Informed Networking) Institute is comprised of experts from every college at East Tennessee Sate University who have been training and conducting research related to trauma related stress, resilience building, and prevention and mitigation of the effects of adversity in childhood for the past several years. Examples of consultation areas include:- Consulting with community agencies for transforming their policies, procedures, and philosophies to better align with promoting resilience and ACEs mitigation
Providing guidance and infrastructural support for ACEs-related grant applications and grants management
Providing consultation on ACEs-related topics throughout communities
Providing guidance regarding transforming higher education policies, procedures, and philosophies to better align with promoting resilience and ACEs mitigation- Consultation on research design, evaluation, and designing measures
