We work to protect the university’s digital infrastructure; safeguarding sensitive data, assessing and responding to cybersecurity risks, and promoting compliance with security policies and regulations.
In addition, we use technology to detect and respond to cyber threats, provide security awareness training to Faculty and Staff, and encourage best practices for a secure and resilient campus IT environment.

CISA to Lead a Cybersecurity Tabletop
September 23, 2026Sherrod Library, Room 309
ETSU administrative and student support offices are invited to attend a Cybersecurity Tabletop exercise in September with CISA discussion leaders on site.
This scenario-based exercise aims to get offices thinking about how they would continue to do business (provide their services) if the ETSU network (or all computers on campus) quit working. Attendees will be given a scenario where a cyber-incident impacts day-to-day business operations and student services access. Then, attendees will get both creative and practical, exploring how to keep ETSU operational in the meantime.
This is just a scenario-based exercise. ETSU's networked computer access is not currently compromised.
Sponsored by ITS Security, Emergency Management, and the Cybersecurity Innovation and Outreach Center.
