Welcome to Fraternity and Sorority Life

Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) at East Tennessee State University is a vibrant and dynamic community dedicated to fostering leadership, personal growth, and lifelong friendships. With a rich tradition of fraternities and sororities on ETSU's campus, our FSL community is committeed to academic excellence, community service, and social engagement. Founded on principles of scholarship, leadership, service, and brotherhood/sisterhood, the fraternities and sororities at ETSU offer a wide range of opportunities for students to get involved and make a positive impact on campus and the surrounding community. These organizations provide a supportive network of peers who share common values and goals, contributing to a well-rounded college experience.

College Panhellenic Council

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the governing body of the five social sororities at ETSU. Our NPC sororities are referred to as the College Panhellenic Council. These organizations foster leadership, sisterhood, and philanthropic initiatives within their chapters and the greater community.

Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of eight social fraternities at ETSU. The council supports educational programming to advance the goals of leadership and social development, regulates formal recruitment for the fraternities, and serves as a judiciary board in case any problems between fraternities arise.

National Pan-Hellenic Council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing body of seven social fraternities at ETSU. This council is composed of histroically African American (Black) Greek lettered fraternities and sororities, promoting unity, scholarship, service, and advocacy within the African American community. 

East Tennessee State University Fraternity and Sorority Life has a foundation account set up to support the educational purpose of Greek-lettered organizations. Our generous donors have supported major programming that reaches over 650 students annually. Students also benefit from high impact programming by attending conferences and supporting national speakers to present to student leaders.
