New Pages and New Folders
It is easy to build a new page or build a folder if you want to keep similar content organized.
New Web Page
Let's get started with building a new page.
- Go to the Page List View
- Click on the Green New Button
- Select New Web Page or Add New Landing Page (only use if this is a landing/home page)
- Now just fill in the fields - well not all of them!
- Browser Tab Title - Use keywords in your title
- Keywords (can be added later under properties)
- Description (can be added later under properties)
- The five fields between Description and Filename should be left blank when building a new page.
- Filename - remove the word 'untitled' and name the page -lowercase no spaces. Just
remember to keep the .pcf.
- Click 'Create' at the bottom right corner.
- Your page is built and ready for content - just remember to fill in the Keywords and Descriptions if you left those fields blank before you publish your new page.
New Folder for web pages
Folders are a great way of keeping your site organized. Folders are used for storing files such as pictures, documents, or web pages. Make sure you are choosing the right one for your purposes when you make a new folder. In this section we are building a folder for web pages.
To create a new folder:
- Navigate to Content > Pages (page list view).
- Click the green +New button or use the dropdown menu next to it.
- Select the "New Folder" icon option.
- Name your folder and click create. You now have a new, empty folder.
You are now ready to build pages in this folder.
New Folder within a Folder
Folders are a great way of keeping your site organized. Folders are used for storing files such as pictures, documents, or web pages. Make sure you are choosing the right one for your purposes when you make a new folder. In this section we are building a folder for our Documents and/or Pictures.
To create a new folder:
- Navigate to Content > Pages (page list view).
- Click the green +New button or use the dropdown menu next to it.
- Select the "Create New Folder" link option at the top.
- Name your folder and click create. You now have a new, empty folder to organize your documents or pictures.
