University Compliance and campus partners work together to ensure the ETSU community has access to in person and online training opportunities. ETSU provides all employees and new students online discrimination and harassment training.

Discrimination and Harassment Training for Employees

Ingrained in our institutional mission and vision, treating people with dignity and respect is a core value that involves all employees and affects our ability to educate our students and work together in an atmosphere conducive to building relationships on honesty, integrity, and trust. Because you are an employee of East Tennessee State University and a valued member of the ETSU community, we encourage you complete the Harassment & Discrimination Prevention training provided through our external vendor Vector. For purposes of training, employees include all full and part-time staff and faculty, temporary, student service employees, and all volunteers.

If you are a new hire, you will receive an email with links and instructions to complete your initial training. You will receive reminder emails throughout the semester until you complete this valuable training course.
Current employees will be notified annually via email to renew their harassment and discrimination training.

Please note some content in the training course includes topics that you may find disturbing and/or traumatizing. If you have received an email notifying you to complete your training and you need assistance or you need to arrange an alternative training, please contact the Office of University Compliance at compliance@etsu.edu or 423-439-8545.

Sexual Assault Prevention Training for Students

Sexual Assault Prevention is an online course that will empower undergraduate and graduate students to make well-informed decisions about issues that affect your college years and beyond. This training is provided for all new students to East Tennessee State University. New students will be notified via their ETSU email account with instructions on how to complete Sexual Assault Prevention.
