Attention all aspiring ETSU artists! Thanks to generous donation, the Department of Art and Design is thrilled to announce our annual Juried Student Art Show, a celebration of creativity, talent, and imagination, open to all ETSU students with cash awards! This is your opportunity to showcase your artistic prowess and vie for recognition among your peers.
Submission Guidelines:
- Open to all current ETSU students and newly graduated students (December 2025)!
- All mediums and styles are welcome, including but not limited to Art History (essays), Ceramics, Drawing, Digital Materials Studies, Fibers, Graphic Design, Jewelry & Metals, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Foundation/CORE or Graduate.
- Each participant may submit up to four artworks.
- Artwork must be original. AI generated work is not eligible.
- Deadline for submissions: April 11th, 2026
Selection Process:
A judge will carefully review all submissions and select pieces based on creativity, technique, originality, and overall artistic merit. Faculty of the Department of Art and Design will make their selection of the Faculty choice award. Essays will be reviewed by the Art History faculty.
Cash Prize:
The selected artworks will be showcased in our end-of-the-semester exhibition in Slocumb Galleries, where winners will be announced. One outstanding artist will receive the Cash Purchase Prize in recognition of their exceptional talent and contribution to the arts in each of the following categories.
1 Best of show ($2,000),
1 faculty choice ($1,500),
1 graduate ($500),
12 areas ($500 each area)
