The SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) funding database is a valuable resource for researchers and institutions seeking funding opportunities for their projects.
The SPIN Funding Database provides over 40,000 opportunities from more than 10,000 global sponsors. Using SPIN, you can use active searching, automated opportunity matching, and daily opportunity notifications. Before you begin, you will need to request a SPIN profile.

Register for ETSURGe
ETSURGe is the ETSU Electronic Research Gateway for research administrative tools used by faculty and staff at the institution.
To access ETSURGe, you must first register with your ETSU credentials. Shortly thereafter, you will receive a confirmation email informing you that your account is active and you can proceed to login. Please allow up to 30 minutes to receive email.

Find a Funding Announcement
The SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) funding database is your primary resource for finding funding.
Once you have logged into SPIN using your credentials, you can use the user-friendly search interface to search for funding opportunities that meet your specific criteria. These criteria might include keywords related to your research, funding agency preferences, project type, geographic location, and more. Remember, keywords should capture the essence of your project and the areas of study it falls under.
When reviewing opportunities for funding, remember to consider important details such as the funding agency, eligibility requirements, funding amount, application deadlines, and any specific instructions for applying. You can save opportunities that interest you to return to them once you're ready.

The RCA Office will review your budget and assist with any changes that need to be made.
