The Appalachian Research in Business Symposium (ARBS) is a collaborative effort of
Appalachian State University, Eastern Kentucky University, East Tennessee State University,
Marshall University, Radford University and Western Carolina University.
In March 2021, the School of Business in the College of Business and Technology at Eastern Kentucky University hosted ARBS as a virtual conference due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The conference featured 47 research presentations across a broad variety of business topics from the faculty of the participating universities. 12 of these presentations included scholarly contributions from 18 ETSU faculty and students, given the fact that some of these papers involved collaborative research.
Eastern Kentucky University will be hosting the 9th Annual Appalachian Research in Business Symposium (ARBS) in person at their Richmond, Kentucky campus during March 24-25, 2022 (tentative). Additional information about the conference and the call for papers will be provided at a later date.
