The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is designed for students who wish to advance their knowledge and preparation for positions of responsibility in business or not-for-profit institutions. It is recognized as a key to success in both large and small organizations. The MBA is available to students whose undergraduate studies were in business or non-business fields.

Available Concentration Areas
Students in the traditional on-campus program have the option to add a concentration area to their degree. Students will be able to choose from three areas of concentration. Each concentration will consist of three courses designed to provide in-depth content desired by employers.
Online MBA Concentrations are also available in health care marketing, business analytics, and cybersecurity management.

What are the admission requirements for the MBA?
Students applying for the MBA must meet the following criteria:
For domestic students an overall/cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
For international students an overall/cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
A GMAT score of at least 450.

Is there a GMAT waiver available?
There are waivers available for applicants who meet one of the following criteria:
- Graduated from an AACSB accredited undergraduate program with an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Graduated from a non-AACSB accredited program with an overall GPA of at least 3.5.
- Completion of another graduate degree, regardless of subject area.
- At least three years of post-undergrad professional, full-time work experience will be considered for a GMAT waiver. An applicant’s work experience must be evaluated and approved by program representatives before the GMAT waiver can be approved.

What is the cost for the MBA?
The current cost for the MBA is approximately $22,000.

What minimum GPA do students in the MBA need to maintain?
MBA students must maintain a graduate GPA of at least 3.0. Students who do not maintain a 3.0 will be placed on academic probation or dismissed from the program, dependent upon the GPA gap.

What happens if I fail a course?
Failing a course in the MBA program will add extra time to completion of the degree as well as negatively impact the GPA. Retaking a failed course does not remove it from the GPA configuration so failing a course means it’s harder to raise the GPA.

How many semesters are required to complete the MBA?
The MBA is a four semester program that begins in the Fall. Students will register for three courses each semester. Nine credit hours is full time at the graduate level.

Can students take courses outside of the MBA program?
Students in the MBA are required to take their courses within the business departments.

Are there concentrations available for MBA students?
There are currently the following concentrations available:

Is enrolling in a concentration required?
Students who do not wish to do a concentration can enroll in the general MBA and take three advisor approved electives within the business departments.

Can students in the MBA receive a Graduate Assistantship or Tuition Scholarship?
Students in the MBA can receive a GA/TS position as long as they can complete the required hours on ground each week. GA students must work a total of 20 hours per week while TS students must work a total of 8 hours per week. These positions waive tuition but not fees. The GA also provides a stipend during active months.
