The Accounting Networking Night recently had 90 recruiters representing 29 employers seeking accounting majors from ETSU. This annual event was held on Monday afternoon, September 18th in the Martin Center lobby. Students offered resumes and recruiters provided specifics concerning the firms' business and job openings. Firms represented at this event included Big 4 international public accounting firms, local and regional CPA firms, large corporate employers, IRS, FBI, state government entities and not for profit firms. Accounting is the language of business and the career opportunities are limitless extending beyond the financial world. It is not unusual to see accounting students continue on to law school or careers in operations management as examples.
