Pharmacy Technician Certification Training Course

This course provides an overview of skills and knowledge required to function successfully as a pharmacy technician. Every topic cannot be covered during class time, therefore, some self-study will be required. The course may be used for individuals working in retail or hospital pharmacy to prepare for the PTCB exam or to improve their job skills.
Pharmacy technicians work in community or hospital pharmacies, assisting pharmacists in handling medications and serving patients. Individuals passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board examination become nationally certified pharmacy technicians.
This course meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm . There are no prerequisites for this program, however, you must be 18 years of age, a high school graduate/GED prior to taking the certification exam with no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions that are drug related. Textbook is included with registration fees.
Early Registration Fee is $500 until Sept. 5th. Late Registration Fee is $600
Participants will need a four-function calculator and notebook for class.

Applicant Criteria
Admission to the certificate program is limited to:
· ARRT or NMTCB registered technologists
· Individuals with a minimum cumulative college-level G.P.A. of 2.75
· Associate or Bachelor Degree Programs accepted
Application Procedures
Applicants must submit the following items to the ETSU Office of Professional Development to be considered for admission to the program:
· Program Application
· $75 nonrefundable application fee
· ARRT documentation
· Official transcripts (college level or equivalent)
· Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references
Each applicant is evaluated on the basis of academic preparation and previous work experience.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging program has a registration fee of $4,000, which includes a $75 application fee. A payment plan may be established with the Office of Professional Development.
Since this is a certificate program, there is no out-of-state tuition. Additional expenses include textbooks, uniforms, immunizations, malpractice insurance and background check.
Upon acceptance into the MRI or CT program, the student will receive a letter from the MRI/CT program coordinator that includes a list of required textbooks and forms that must be completed prior to the start of the program.

ADOBE Certified Professional Course
ETSU's Department of Media and Communication offers courses and testing that lead to the Adobe Certified Associate (ACP) professional credential in: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro and After Effects. Course participants will have access to online training materials for 4 weeks. All courses are 100% online and asynchronous. Participants will have access to 10+ hours of course content to review on their own time and at their own pace. At the conclusion of the course, particpants will sit for the certification exam(s) that are delivered in an online synchronous format. Course fees include all course material, coordinator fees, exam fees, practice tests and the option for one retake.
Participants can enroll in one course/exam for $500 or two courses/exams for $850. Other providers typically charge $1250-2000 per course. All five courses in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects will run concurrently and there are two different options for exam dates, so particpants who enroll in two courses can sit for the exams on different days.

Hospitality and Tourism Management Certification

This certificate is an educational program of study for those interested in expanding skills and
knowledge for personal and/or professional development in the tourism and hospitality industry. This includes working tourism and hospitality professionals who wish to hone their skills in management, public relations, current technology, and social trends, or graduate students wanting to augment their programs of study with an invaluable skill set. The certificate program prepares graduates for entry or advanced promotion into a wide range of management positions in culinary, food & beverage, lodging, attraction, and tourism related industries. The program is intended for those who desire skills needed
in the workforce at large. Students will learn regional and international facets of the hospitality and tourism industry with topics ranging from marketing, finances, safety, and employee management in the local billion-dollar tourism industry. The program is designed with a strong emphasis on applied skills. Students will have access to industry leaders, as well as experienced faculty and staff. Once the course begins, there is no refund.
Curriculum
The certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management requires the completion of two six week sessions offered during the spring semester. Courses are offered on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. online. The certificate is divided into two sessions and taught by a variety qualified leaders and faculty within the industry where students will focus on the specifically listed skillsets.
