Computed Tomography Certification Program
The Computed Tomography (CT) Certificate Program is offered by East Tennessee State University's School of Continuing Studies, Office of Professional Development. This certificate program prepares the student with didactic courses and hospital-based clinical experiences in computed tomography.
All applicants are notified of acceptance on receipt of application.
It provides registered technologists with the opportunity for professional and personal advancement in the imaging science profession.
Computed Tomography is a sophisticated diagnostic imaging modality that captures cross sectional images of the patient. CT may evaluate many types of disease processes and injuries. CT is also used to help plan radiation therapy treatments and guide biopsies. 147 contact hours; 192 clinical hours.
You must be accepted into this program and will be notified of acceptance after application, non-refundable application fee, and all required documentaion has been received and reviewed. It is not too late to apply; call 800-222-3878 for more information.
Three equal payments are allowed on this course. You must request the payment plan when accepted into the course. These payments are expected to be paid on the designated date. Payments are subject to a late fee of $25.00 if not paid on the due date. This amount will be added to the original payment amount the next business day after original payment is due.Fee for course is $2000 including the non-refundable $75 dollar registration fee.

Hands On! Discovery Center
This certificate is an educational program of study for those interested in expanding skills and
knowledge for personal and/or professional development in the tourism and hospitality industry. This includes working tourism and hospitality professionals who wish to hone their skills in management, public relations, current technology, and social trends, or graduate students wanting to augment their programs of study with an invaluable skill set. The certificate program prepares graduates for entry or advanced promotion into a wide range of management positions in culinary, food & beverage, lodging, attraction, and tourism related industries. The program is intended for those who desire skills needed
in the workforce at large. Students will learn regional and international facets of the hospitality and tourism industry with topics ranging from marketing, finances, safety, strategic, and employee management in the local billion-dollar tourism industry. The program is designed with a strong emphasis on applied skills. Students will have access to industry leaders, as well as experienced faculty and staff. Once the course begins, there is no refund.
Curriculum
The certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management requires the completion of two six week sessions offered during the fall and spring semesters. Courses are offered on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hands On! Discovery Center. The certificate is divided into two sessions and taught by a variety qualified leaders and faculty within the industry where students will focus on the specifically listed skillsets. The certificate may be completed in one year, or extended across several semesters.

This course will provide self-paced, online material for Tennessee licensed teachers that will enable them to sit for the state licensure examination to become certified in Secondary Math.
Secondary math is a high need endorsement area in the State of Tennessee highlighting a shortage of teachers for this licensure area. The secondary math add-on programming offered by ETSU aims to help address the serious teacher shortage that is being experienced locally and across the state.

MRI Certificate Program

Applicant Criteria
Admission to the certificate program is limited to:
· ARRT or NMTCB registered technologists
· Individuals with a minimum cumulative college-level G.P.A. of 2.75
· Associate or Bachelor Degree Programs accepted
Application Procedures
Applicants must submit the following items to the ETSU Office of Professional Development to be considered for admission to the program:
· Program Application
· $75 nonrefundable application fee
· ARRT documentation
· Official transcripts (college level or equivalent)
· Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references
Each applicant is evaluated on the basis of academic preparation and previous work experience.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging program has a registration fee of $4,000, which includes a $75 application fee. A payment plan may be established with the Office of Professional Development.
Since this is a certificate program, there is no out-of-state tuition. Additional expenses include textbooks, uniforms, immunizations, malpractice insurance and background check.
Upon acceptance into the MRI or CT program, the student will receive a letter from the MRI/CT program coordinator that includes a list of required textbooks and forms that must be completed prior to the start of the program.
