THE ART OF DEATH CERTIFICATION
This course will provide proper death certification education to providers through a recorded lecture format to be available as an enduring material. This is a need that has been identified throughout the Quillen College of Medicine and Mountain Home VA Medical Communities. Proper death certification is an essential function of physician practice and not complying with regulations could potentially impact medical staff membership, and possibly medical license.

This is a two-part enduring material.
Part 1: Controlled Substance Safe Prescribing: Hospice and pain Management Provider, Dr. Steven Baumrucker, provides learners with education and information regarding the Tennessee Department of Health Chronic Pain Guidelines.
Part 2: Risk Management: Public Health Professional in the clinical and classroom setting, Dr. Bill Brooks, provides an in-depth look at harm reduction and how it might be used to prevent overdoses.
OPIOID USE DISORDER IN PREGNANCY: EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT
This course will focus on evidence-based treatment presented by Nathan Mullins, MD, FACOG/FASAM- focusing on the diagnosis of opioid use disorder in pregnant women, treatment of opioid use disorder in pregnancy, Medical Assisted Withdrawal (MAW) vs. Opioid Agonist Treatment, and childhood development outcomes.
