Rebecca Jenkins, D.O.
PGY-III Resident Physician
I am from Johnson City, Tennessee where I attended ETSU for my Bachelor’s degree in
Biology. Shortly after, I moved to Florida to obtain a Master’s in Medical Science
at the University of South Florida and attended medical school at Lake Erie College
of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. I was fortunate to have the opportunity
to rotate with Kingsport’s Family Medicine program and enjoyed my time working with
the supportive faculty and residents. I am excited to be back home in East Tennessee
to complete my training. My family includes my husband, who is also an East Tennessee
native, and our energetic daughter. As a family we like to spend our time cooking,
baking, hiking, running, watching movies, and playing with our two dogs.

Kelsey King-Hook, M.D.

I grew up in a small town outside of Nashville, Tennessee. I originally moved to East Tennessee to attend ETSU for my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences. I immediately fell in love with the area and was so thrilled to be able to stay at ETSU Quillen College of Medicine for medical school and residency training. I have many interests in the field of family medicine including women’s health, medication assisted treatment, and global health. My favorite part about family medicine is the ability to from meaningful, long-term relationships with patients. My goal is to become a traditional, small town family doctor. Outside of work, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, cooking, cheering on the Tennessee Titans, and entertaining my two grumpy cats, Lily and Gracie. I am so excited to start this journey with the ETSU-Kingsport Family! Meet Kelsey King-Hook

I spent most of my life before medical school in Maryland: receiving my undergraduate
degree from UMBC, and working as a paramedic around the city of Baltimore. I moved
to Eastern Kentucky to attend the University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Osteopathic
Medicine. During school, I focused much of my energy into leadership and mental health
awareness. I worked with class leaders and also served with the Board of Directors
of the KAFP and KOMA. I look forward to continuing to advocate for Family Medicine
while pursuing my medical interests in rural medicine, hospice and emergent/urgent
care.
My wife and I have three amazing dogs that receive an inordinate amount of love and attention. I love to travel with my family as much as possible. I enjoy watching sports, especially football and MMA, and I also am an enthusiast of everything Science Fiction/Fantasy.

I am originally from California, but grew up in Alexandria, LA. I attended undergrad
at LSU- Baton Rouge and medical school at LSU School of Medicine- Shreveport. I enjoy
traveling, spending time with my daughter and family, cooking, and working out. I
was attracted to this program because the curriculum has all I need to mold me into
a well-trained, competent, and knowledgeable physician. I have developed a passion
in international medicine, and I have traveled to Kenya and Guatemala providing medical
care to rural populations that don’t have much access to quality care. One of my goals
is to travel to many more developing countries providing health care to those in need.
I love working with rural, underserved populations, and I plan to leave my mark on
the world by using my training to aid those who need it the most.

I was born in Fredericksburg, VA and lived there for 13 years. I then moved to various towns in Virginia, West Virginia, and South Carolina before finally settling in Clemson, SC for undergrad. I went to medical school at VCOM-Carolinas in Spartanburg, SC, and I was thrilled to learn that I matched into Family Medicine in Kingsport, TN.
