Welcome to the East Tennessee State University Biomedical Science Graduate Program. Our program prepares students for careers in biomedical research and teaching. During their Ph.D. training, students explore specialized scientific topics, develop new approaches to complex problems and contribute to innovative advancements in biomedical research.

  Welcome to the Biomedical Science Graduate Program at East Tennessee State University. I am Dr. Eric Beaumont and I am the Associate Dean for research and graduate education. I invite you to explore our website and learn about the diverse research opportunities in our graduate program.

  Faculty are committed here to train students for careers in biomedical research to improve patients' health.

  Students in our program participate in research studying complex problems, such as neuroregulation of the heart, renal disease, cellular signaling, T-cell regulation, pathophysiology of infections, substance use disorder, behavioral neuroscience, and drug delivery systems, to name a few.

  The Biomedical Science Graduate Program focuses on excellent mentorship of students in a challenging and collaborative environment and is committed to the individual training of the next generation of biomedical scientists and basic and clinical research.

  We are located in Johnson City, Tennessee, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which is an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts.
