Dr. Kate Beatty Joins Health Management Services and Policy
Dr. Kate Beatty joined the College of Public Health on August 1st as Assistant Professor in Health Services Management and Policy.  Kate came from Saint Louis University where she was faculty in the College for Public Health and Social Justice.   She holds a PhD in Public Health Studies and an MPH, both from Saint Louis University.

Kates research interests are in the areas of public health services and systems research (PHSSR), rural health, practice-based public health research networks, collaboration between public health and healthcare, and performance management.
 
She has recently published on those areas in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice, the Journal of Rural Health, and other journals.  She has also widely disseminated her research findings at meetings of the American Public Health Association, AcademyHealth, and the Keeneland Public Health Systems and Services Conference.
 
Kate is the recipient of two research grants from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and is the recipient of the 2013 AcademyHealth PHSSR Student Scholarship.
