The 15th annual Rural Health Career Fair will be
held in the D.P. Culp Center on Thursday October 20
from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This year’s
event, entitled “ETSU-Expanding Your
Opportunities in Health Care” will provide
participants with a wealth of information regarding
career choices in the health care industry.
Targeting area high school students, participants
will attend sessions sponsored by the College of
Public and Allied Health, the College of Nursing
and the College of Medicine. In addition,
representatives from Financial Aid, Wings Air
Rescue and Mountain States Health Alliance will be
on hand. The health fair represents an opportunity
for high school students from northeast Tennessee,
southwest Virginia and western North Carolina to
visit our campus and learn about career options as
well as majors offered by various departments. Each
department is expected to set up an information
booth for the fair and have representatives
available to answer questions. ETSU student
participation is strongly suggested so that our
visitors can acquire a sense of student life here
at the university. Approximately 150 students and
teachers are expected to attend this year’s
event which will conclude with lunch and door
prizes in the Main Meal. For more information,
please contact Julie Harrill Bowers, at
