THEC approves two new doctoral programs in the
College of Public and Allied Health

JOHNSON CITY – Two new doctoral programs at
East Tennessee State University's College of Public
and Allied Health received the final authorization
last Thursday (July 27) by the Tennessee Higher
Education Commission.
At its quarterly meeting,THEC approved the new
Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Health
Sciences (Ph.D.), and the Doctor of Public Health
(Dr.P.H.) in Community Health.
These ETSU degree programs were approved earlier
this year by the Tennessee Board of Regents. The
doctoral programs in environmental health sciences
and public health are set to begin this fall
semester, which starts Aug. 28.
