French Spring Cooking with Chef Sheridan
Following the legacy of Julia Child in televising her cooking instruction, Chef Sheridan is teaching a French Spring Cooking Course virtually. Recipes are provided and participants can cook along, or simply enjoy her show.
As the days get longer and warmer, our appetites begin leaning towards lighter menus.We are going to put aside the comfort foods of winter and take inspiration from Mother Nature. Spring is here, and she will be offering up tender green early vegetables, new potatoes, young sweet carrots, crunchy peas, fragrant herbs, and first asparagus.An emphasis will be on light fish dishes and techniques to lighten up your meals; fish and shellfish are quick to cook, and we will be featuring them along with several lean cuts of meat to go with the herbs and vegetables of Printemps!
We will feature lighter desserts using the first fruits of spring.
Please join us for this long-awaited spring season of 2021! These classes will be offered via ZOOM and will meet March 11, 18, 25 and April 1, 2021. A ZOOM invitation will be sent before March 11th and the same number will be used each week.Sheridan Nice owned two restaurants in Johnson City, TN, with her partner and husband, Steve Nice. She is a graduate of La Varenne, Ecole de Cuisine, Paris and a recipient of a Baking and Pastry scholarship from IACP, International Association of Culinary Professionals, to the Culinary Institute of America, Napa Valley.
Cost is $179.00 for four sessionsor $55.00 each.
