D2L is the online learning system used at ETSU. It is flexible, easy to use, and scalable so you can use just the tools you need to teach your course effectively.
Zoom is ETSU's choose platform for synchronous remote learning, remote meetings and webinars.
This is our tool for lecture capture, both in the classroom and for recording asynchronous lectures. Use it to easily record anything on your screen including multiple screens, webcam(s) and presentation slide decks and then have it instantly uploaded so your students can access it.

Audio Creation (Podcasting):
Audacity - Advanced recorder and editor. Use this tool if you want to have more control over editing your file.
Profcast - Simple recorder. Not many editing features but very simple to use and create files that can be uploaded to D2L.
Soundcloud - Web based recorder and editor. This allows you to easily create online audio files that can be shared with your class.
Poll Everywhere - Engage students through live online polling, surveys, Q&As, quizzes, word clouds, and more.
Powerpoint - Windows and Mac presentation software made by Microsoft.
Keynote - Mac only presentation software made by Apple.
Captivate - Powerful presentation software made by Adobe.
Google Docs/Skydrive - Web based presentation software. Great for being able to generate shareable documents that can be easily updated online.
Prezi - Great presentation software that allows you to present material in a more interactive and interesting way.
Basic Document Creation:
Word - Windows and Mac word processing software made by Microsoft.
Pages - Mac only word processing software made by Apple.
HTML - HTML content can be generated in a number of ways but is considered best practice for web delivery of content.
