All students who want to declare Bluegrass (BLUE) as a major must audition and be accepted into the Bluegrass, Old Time, & Country Music program. To schedule an audition, you may contact at 423.439.7072.

Communication Studies, not to be confused with Mass Communications, prepares students for work in a variety of workplaces that require the ability to work with diverse populations, lead others, effectively communicate ideas and arguments and analyze information. The department offers both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees and requires students to have a minor. For additional information about the Communication Studies major, please see the Department of Communication and Performance website.
