The Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program is a general, broad-based degree that focuses on understanding the organizational, financial, and operational management of organizations from a local, regional, and global perspective. East Tennessee State University's MBA programs provide practical hands-on education that will enhance career options and opportunities. The capstone experience provides student-led teams the opportunity to gain real world experience by solving problems for actual businesses within the region. Students work with their clients and faculty coaches to deliver key strategy recommendations for each project. Student Spotlight
Meet Cristopher Santana:
Cristopher is a graduate of both the Bachelor of Administration in Economics and Bachelor of Administration in Finance programs. As an undergrad, he held leadership roles in the Economics Club, the Students of Finance Association, as well as the Student Government Association. He is now enrolled in the MBA program and serves as Student Trustee on ETSU's Board of Trustees.

Program Options
The College of Business and Technology offers three ways to obtain your MBA. Students may choose the format that best suits their educational preferences and meets their personal situation.
Available Concentrations
Students in the traditional on-campus and online MBA programs have the option to add a concentration area to their degree. Students will be able to choose from three areas of concentration. Each concentration will consist of three courses designed to provide in-depth content desired by employers. These courses will be offered online and on campus. The areas of concentration include:

MBA Admission Requirements
ETSU is committed to making sure that each student entering a graduate program is properly prepared and qualified. Therefore, each graduate program has its own set of requirements.
To enter the traditional on-campus or online Masters of Business Administration program, applicants must have:
- A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 (International students must have a 3.0)
- A minimum GMAT score of 450 (GMAT test scores will be waived if students meet one of the following conditions: a)Completion of another graduate degree, regardless of subject area, b) a 3.0 or higher GPA from an AACSB-accredited undergraduate business program, c) a 3.5 or higher GPA from a non-AACSB-accredited undergraduate business program or a non-business discipline undergraduate degree, or d) at least three years of post-undergrad professional, full-time work experience will be considered for a GMAT waiver. An applicant’s work experience must be evaluated and approved by program representatives before the GMAT waiver can be approved)
- A personal statement about why the student wishes to pursue this degree
- An official transcript from every college or university where the applicant has taken courses

Accelerated MBA Admission Requirements
ETSU is committed to making sure that each student entering a graduate program is properly prepared and qualified. Therefore, each graduate program has its own set of requirements.
There is NO GMAT requirement to enter the Accelerated Professional Masters of Business Administration program, but applicants must have:
- Three year's professional experience
- Letter of support from a supervisor
- Current resume
- A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 (International students must have a 3.0)
- A personal statement about why the student wishes to pursue this degree
- An official transcript from every college or university where the applicant has taken courses
