Adobe Acrobat Pro   Adobe Acrobat Pro is available to all ETSU faculty and staff for the purpose of creating, edting, and reviewing PDF documents.The Pro version allows users to go beyond the basics with full conversion and edit capabilities. Adobe Creative Cloud   The Adobe Creative Cloud suite can be purchased for faculty and staff use at the significantly reduced price of $100 for an annual subscription. Creative Cloud includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and others. The department can purchase Creative Cloud through eBucs with automatic annual renewal. AWS Educate   ETSU users may take advantage of numerous cloud compute services and applications provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The most frequently used services include storage, high performance computing, and virtual desktop computing.    Faculty, Staff, Students
         
Cisco AnyConnect (VPN)   Cisco AnyConnect provides a secure pathway into the ETSU network, allowing faculty and staff the ability to establish a Virtual Private Network (VPN) remote connection on from their personal device from a non-ETSU network.   Faculty, Staff
         
Cloud Phone (Cisco Jabber)   ETSU provides cloud phone services through the use of Cisco Jabber software. Faculty and staff may connect their ETSU desktop phone to their Apple iOS, Android, Windows, or Apple device. Once the personal device is configured, the cloud phone works in tandem with the ETSU telephone system to allow answering your ETSU number from anywhere.   Faculty, Staff
         
Desire2Learn (D2L)   Desire2Learn (D2L) serves as ETSU's full-featured learning management system. D2L is used to deliver course content, assessments, and communication tools for online courses. Other course instructors may choose to use the comprehensive tools in D2L as well. D2L is integrated with GoldLink and course sites creation and student/faculty enrollment occurs in real-time. D2L is web-based and available from anywhere at any time through secure login.   Faculty, Staff, Students
         
Dynamic Forms   Dynamic Forms is a web-based and hosted software solution for creating electronic forms. Dynamic Forms is integrated with GoldLink, allowing for the elimination of data entry in many cases. Users can quickly create online forms that allow for reduced paper waste and shortened form completion times.   Faculty, Staff
         
LinkedIn Learning   The ETSU Technology Access Fee funds the purchase of LinkedIn Learning for all ETSU students, faculty, and staff. Users can access a wide variety of online learning resources and training materials. Faculty can assign topics or students can browse the extensive catalog to select their own topics of interest. Completed training modules are available to be displayed in the individual's LinkedIn social media account. Microsoft
Office 365
  ETSU users have access to Microsoft Office 365 tools. Users can access Office 365 tools online or dowload the programs on five different computers and mobile devices. Applications includeOutlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and more.   Faculty, Staff, Students
         
Minitab Statistical Software   Minitab statistical software is used for data analysis. It contains tools to perform hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and ANOVA. Minitab may be installed on ETSU-owned computers and is available through student computer labs and the Appstream virtual lab.   Faculty, Staff, Student Labs
         
Omni CMS (formerly OU Campus)   ETSU websites are created and maintained using the Omni CMS web content management system. Users can create a consistent and attractive web presence without any prior web development knowledge. Omni CMS access is controlled by the University Marketing & Communications office.    Faculty, Staff
         
Panopto   Panopto video management software allows faculty to record lecture content from a class, their office, or a personal device, and make that content available online for students to access at any time. Students can review class lecture material, search for terms from classroom lectures, and easily find web resources referenced during class. REDCap   REDCap is a powerful academic survey and database management tool. REDCap can be used to support federal research surveys and is approved for collection of PHI and other sensitve human data. Respondus 4.0   The Respondus test authoring tool is used to create tests from publisher test banks or existing wirtten tests that are then published directly to D2L for online delivery. Repoondus can also be used to convert existing online tests to written tests. The software is only compatible with Windows computers.   Faculty, Staff
         
Respondus Monitor   Respondus Monitor is used through D2L for remote proctoring online assessments. Respondus Monitor works with the Respondus LockDown Browser to provide a secure proctoring environment. ETSU Online funds Respondus Monitor so there is no associated charge for students.   Faculty, Students
         
SAS Statistical Software   The Statistical Analysis System (SAS) is an integrated software suite for advanced analytics, business intelligence, data management, and predictive analytics. SAS software can be used through both a graphical interface and the SAS programming language, or Base SAS. SAS may be installed on ETSU-owned computers and is available through student computer labs and the Appstream virtual lab.   Faculty, Staff, Student Labs
         
SPSS Statistical Software   SPSS (Stastical Package for the Social Sciences) is a software program used for the quantitative analysis of complex data. SPSS's interface resembles a standard spreadsheet so it may be easier for less experienced users to learn. SPSS may be installed on ETSU-owned computers and is available through student computer labs and the Appstream virtual lab.   Faculty, Staff, Student Labs
         
Zoom   Zoom web-based web conferencing software is available to all ETSU users for the purpose of conducting web conferencing meetings, conducting remote class sessions, and developing educational materials. Zoom is integrated with D2L for ease of use in the online and remote classroom.   Faculty, Staff, Students

 

Software Purchases on Procard

Software purchases in small amounts may be appropriately made using the ETSU Procard. Please contact , the ITS Computing Technology Services Manager, for approval before ordering software. Please include detailed information about the request including use cases and a link to the software website. If approved, you will receive an email response that should be included with the Procard documentation. Please reference the Information Technology Services Procard Guidelines supplment for detailed information.

Please contact Candy Massey in the ITS Project Management Office for assistance in locating software for a specific purpose. We can help you locate software that has already been approved through ITS Security, and may have already been configured for Single Sign-On authentication.
