Lucas van der Merwe, Masters ETSU, Ph.D. University of South Africa (co- advised with ETSU), graduated with Ph.D. in 2000. Lucas is currently a Professor of Mathematics at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He has received several teaching awards and is an active researcher.

Wyatt Desormeaux, Masters from ETSU 2008, Ph.D. University of Johannesburg South Africa (co-advised with ETSU), graduated with Ph.D. in 2012. Wyatt is currently a postdoc at University of Johannesburg.

Ben Phillips, graduated with MS 1998. Ben obtained a Ph.D. in mathematics from University of Alabama, Huntsville. He is currently working for the government in a "think tank" job in Huntsville, AL.

Eugenia Jackson, graduated with MS 2002. Genie is currently a first year Ph.D. student in Statistics at the University of Wyoming.

Jason Lewis, graduated with MS 2004. He then obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Clemson University.

Kristen Holmes, graduated with MS 2009. Kristen is working in Washington, DC using her mathematics degree. She said she now has her dream job.

Denise Koessler, graduated with MS 2010. Denise is on track to complete her Ph.D. this year from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Stephanie McMahon, graduated with MS 2010. Stephanie is working for NSA in Washington, DC. She is also enrolled in a Ph.D. program. •
