Curriculum

The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency training program follows a five-year track curriculum based on the following Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education rotation schedule:

 

PGY Level 1

4 months- General Orthopaedics

2 months- Trauma Surgery/ICU

1 month- General Orthopaedics (nights)

1 month-  General Surgery

1 month-   Internal Medicine

1 month-  Emergency Medicine

1 month- Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

1 month- Anesthesiology

                   

PGY Level 2

3 months- Hand

3 months- General Orthopaedics

3 months- Total Joints

3 months- Orthopaedic Trauma


PGY Level 3

6 months- Pediatric Orthopaedics

3 months- General Orthopaedics (nights)

3 months- Spine

                   

PGY Level 4

3 months- Foot/Ankle

3 months- Shoulder

3 months- Sports Medicine

3 months- General Orthopaedics


PGY Level 5 (Chief Resident)

3 months- Orthopaedic Trauma

3 months- General Orthopaedics

6 months- Chief
