Divisions
The Department of Pediatrics, at Quillen College of Medicine, is dedicated to improving healthcare for children in Northeast Tennessee and the surrounding Appalachian Region. Our commitment extends to providing excellent education to our residents as well as medical students. The department consists of over 50 full-time faculty, numerous adjunct/clinical faculty, several staff and support personnel.
Pediatric inpatient hospital care is provided at Niswonger Children's Hospital, Johnson
City Medical Center/Ballad Health. These services include pediatric emergency medicine,
pediatric hospital medicine, critical care, and neonatology.
Outpatient and ambulatory pediatric services include the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic
at Niswonger Children’s Hospital, which offers hematology and oncology care. Additional
outpatient care is provided at the ETSU Health Robinson Clinical Education Building,
which features a dedicated pediatric floor with 36 clinic rooms for general and specialty
pediatric services. Pediatric primary care is also available at the primary care clinic
and the Baby Steps Clinic in Elizabethton, TN.
The Quillen Pediatric Department offers a three-year, fully accredited pediatric residency program. In addition to training our own residents, we also provide pediatric training for Quillen Family Medicine residents. For more information, please visit the Pediatric Residency Program.
