After-school Care for K-8 Students

Dear University School Families,

We are excited to announce that beginning on October 5 afterschool care will be provided by University School for the 2020-2021 school year.  The program is open to students in Kindergarten through 8 ^th  grade.  The program operates daily until 5:30 in our school building.  Care will only be offered on the days your child is assigned to attend University School during our hybrid learning period. All school rules (mask wearing, social distancing, cleaning protocols, etc.) will still be in place during afterschool. 

In the event that school closes early or is not in session, after school care will not be offered.  Afterschool care will not be open on half days. In the event that the school dismisses using a controlled release due to a threat in the area, afterschool care will be cancelled unless otherwise announced.

The daily cost of the program is $15 per day for students who use the program.  Payment is only expected for the days your child attends afterschool care.  Payments should be made to University School.  The site for online payments can be accessed here:

The tentative schedule for each day will be as follows:

          Check in and Snack in the Library

          3:30-4:15 Outdoor Time/Gym Time

          4:15-4:45 Homework Half Hour (Reading, Writing, Art for students that do not have daily homework)

          4:45-5:30 Free Choice Time in the Library (Games, Puzzles, Art, Reading, etc. with proper safety protocols in place)
