YMCA Afterschool at University School Begins January 7th
Afterschool Care - YMCA to start January 7th, 2019

Dear Families,

We are pleased to announce that our partnership with the Kingsport YMCA has finally been approved. The YMCA will begin offering afterschool childcare from 3:00 until 5:30, at University School, beginning when we return from break on January 7th, 2019. I have attached a flyer with information.

There will be YMCA representatives at University School tomorrow, THURSDAY 12/13/18, from 4:15-6:00 (the flyer says Wed. Dec. 12, from 3:15-5:30, but that is incorrect) to answer questions and register children. I apologize for the late notice on this, but with the inclement weather and school closures, we were not sure when they would be able to come. If you are unable to come meet the representatives and register your child tomorrow, we will have registrations and payment information available in the office. Children must be registered and the payments information must be completed before they can attend afterschool with the YMCA. Starting January 7th, University School will no longer provide afterschool care.

The YMCA offers childcare to children from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Any students in those grades who do not get picked up at dismissal need to attend afterschool childcare with the YMCA where they will be supervised until they are picked up (unless they are staying for a school sponsored afterschool activity with a teacher or coach).

We will send registration and cost information in another email.

Please contact me or Dr. Penley if you have any questions!
