University School Entrepreneur's Club
Breaking News! U-School is hosting a new Entrepreneur's Club! This opportunity is
for students 8th grade and above. Our goal is to provide a forum of interaction between
student's interested in entrepreneurship with ETSU business faculty, startup founders/CEOs,
angel/venture capital investors and other professionals. Throughout the club meetings,
students will explore various startup ideas, new business models, eco-system support,
and self-employment opportunities. Through Entrepreneurs' Club meetings, student
members learn from, interact and network with other students, founders and investors
about their motivations, what works (and what doesn't), and successes. Think of it
as a Shark Tank preparation club!
Meetings will be held at University School, Room 214, on the last Monday of each month. The first meeting will be held this coming Monday, January 31st, from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Email Dr. Penley with questions or more information.
We are excited to announce that University School will be partnering with the College
of Business & Technology to start an Entrepreneur's Club. This will be a great opportunity
for our students interested in learning how to promote an innovative idea and learn
from local entrepreneurs. Students will also have an opportunity to attend a week
long summer camp and participate in their version of "Shark Tank" - please email Dr.
Penley (penleyj@etsu.edu) if you are interested in more information. This club is open to any student in grades
8-12.
