PreACT Testing - Grades 8, 9, and 10 - January 25th, 2022

PreAct

University School students in grades 8 through 10 will take the PreACT on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.

The PreACT is an assessment intended to provide students with a practice opportunity for the required ACT College Entrance Exam. PreACT results provide information on current achievement levels and include a predicted ACT composite score range. Student results are also an important factor in scheduling and dual enrollment decisions.

The PreACT is formatted using shorter testing times and ACT-style questions. The assessment covers the four ACT tested areas: English, Math, Reading, and Science.

Students should bring #2 pencils, an ACT approved calculator (https://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/ACT-calculator-policy.pdf), a small snack for the break if desired, and dress in layers. Backpacks, cell phones, and other personal items should not be brought into the testing room.

Information regarding testing logistics will be shared directly with students.

After testing is completed, students will have the opportunity to purchase and eat lunch at the Culp Center Dining Hall or other options available within the Culp. Bagged lunches will be provided by the University School cafeteria upon student request.   Please see Dr. Campbell in Room 111 by Friday if you would like a bagged lunch from the University School cafeteria provided for you, or access the Google form below and indicate your lunch preference by Friday, January 14th.
