Dear University School Families,
It has come to my attention that our families received a message this evening from Washington County Schools Superintendent, Mr. Jerry Boyd. As you may be aware, University School utilizes several shared resources through our partnership with ETSU and Washington County Schools, including the use of the Power School Student Management System. This system allows schools to add-on several features, such as the new messaging communication system shared by Mr. Boyd this evening.
As stated in his message, the district and all individual schools (including University School) will be able to utilize this system in the future to communicate with our families. Since University School operates on a separate schedule and independently from Washington County Schools, the district does plan on removing University School families from any district-wide correspondence moving forward. Therefore, any future messages received by our families via this system should only be specific to University School.
We do apologize for any confusion the message this evening may have caused and hope that you all are able to enjoy the upcoming holiday weekend - please Stay Well and Go Bucs!
