University High won the District 1A Tournament Tuesday, February 21, 2023, winning
over Hampton 66-58. The Bucs garnered several post-season awards, including UH junior
AJ Murphy, who was named District Tournament MVP. Joining AJ on the All District Tournament
team were senior Drew Finney, junior Pete Boynewicz, and Sophomore Andrew Cole. AJ,
Drew, and Pete were also named All-Conference, recognizing their contributions throughout
the season. The Bucs now advance to the Region 1A Tournament; the top two finishers
will play in the Sectional round with a State Tournament berth on the line.
