High school art students displayed their talents last week at two events:
Christopher Didyk, Isaac Mussard, Megan Grant, Sarah Simmons, Lemy Ortiz, and Greta
Lane entered The Congressional Art Competition, which is a national call for art entries
from high schools in every district across the country. A reception was held by Representative
Diana Harshbarger at Tusculum University on May 5th with some University School students in attendance with parents.
Youth Art Exhibit at the Fischman Gallery, Johnson City. Nancy Fischman invited area
middle schools and high school teachers to contribute works for this exhibit, which
will run through May 27th at 133 N. Commerce Street. The work of Sarah Simmons, Chase Sawyer, Greta Lane, Clayton
Snyder, Karen Tarukwasha, Kyrsten Reed, Christopher Didyk, Maria Garcia-Mijares, Greta
Lane, Sadiq Mohammed, Hanifah Mohammed are on display.
