Elementary School Honoree – Kinsleigh Cobble
From teaching a friend how to tie his own shoelaces to picking up jackets and backpacks that have fallen off their hooks, Kinsleigh is a natural helper. Her bubbly personality and big smile brighten our room and spirits on a daily basis. Kinsleigh is a role model for her classmates in the way she listens, follows directions, waits her turn, and takes care of things at school. Her classmates and teachers appreciate the positive energy she brings to every aspect of her kindergarten days.
Getting to know Kinsleigh:
- What is your favorite hobby outside of school?
“I like to play kitties. That’s where one person pretends to be a cat and then someone has to take care of the cat.”
- What is something most people don’t know about you that you’d like them to know?
“Most people don’t realize I’m fast! I race with my brother and sometimes my dad, and sometimes I win.”
- As you look back over your time at University school, what is something that you are appreciative of?
“Sometime we get to go to the playground two times per day. We usually go at least once. I like going to the playground to play.”
“Kinsleigh is the kind of student to whom others naturally gravitate,” said Mrs. Noell Howe, Kinsleigh’s kindergarten teacher. “She is a helper, a teacher, an encourager, a spirit lifter, and a joyful learner. Who wouldn’t want to be around someone whose energy feels like a beam of gentle sunshine on a warm day?!”
