Elementary School Honoree – Max Mefford (4th Grade)
Max is a wonderful, kind, and respectful student. He works hard, listens well, and is often found doing the right thing. He keeps a positive attitude about school and learning while giving great effort into all that he does. He displays a wonderful sense of character from which we could all learn.
Getting to know Max:
- Do you have a pet? What do you think your pet might say about you if it could talk?
“Yes, I have two dogs named Wilson and Carson who are both vizslas. Wilson might say, ‘I want to go outside!’ He likes to stand at the door and bark.”
- How do you like to spend your free time?
“I like to run around outside playing with sticks that I find in the woods or playing fetch with my dogs. I also enjoy riding my mountain bike with my good friend Sawyer Smith.”
- For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
“I am grateful for shelter to protect me when it rains. I am also thankful for plenty of food and of course my family!”
“Max's personality is great and he is a friend to all,” commented Ms. Paiton Chambers, Max’s 4th-grade teacher. “He is sweet, funny, and positive. He loves to make people laugh or smile and he always has a great attitude. Max does the right thing, even when no one is looking.”
