High School Honoree – Caleb Bonner (HS Senior)

Caleb is a dedicated learner in French class, using creativity and persistence to advance in proficiency. He is kind to his classmates and works well with anyone. He is purposeful and thoughtful about producing the best French in writing and speaking.

Getting to know Caleb:

  • What's your favorite part about school?

“My favorite part about school is the people I interact with.  I like hanging out and doing activities with friends.  My interactions with people are what really stick with me.  I remember the people the most.”

  • What is something you like to do that is helpful to others?

“I like helping peers with homework they might have some issues with.  I also like doing small, random acts of kindness.  For example, if someone drops a pencil, I pick it up for them.”

  • If you could give one piece of advice to the principal, what would it be?

“This is geared more towards interactions with the high school students, I would suggest, since we are transitioning into adulthood, we need to start being taken and treated more as adults.  This would help us prepare more for adult life and dealing with all the freedoms and responsibilities that come with it.”

I always love to hear Caleb speak in class French class as he puts great effort into using creative vocabulary and having an excellent accent,” pointed out Ms. Dines, Caleb’s French II teacher. “He sets the example for excellence in French II!”
